Interested in joining, or just learning more about Con Brio?

Auditions are generally held 2 or 3 times each year. These comprise a straightforward evaluation of musicality, voice quality, range, and basic sight-reading. Admission to Con Brio is at the absolute discretion of the Music Director and Board and is subject to availability of places in the appropriate choral part and balance, as well as the overall number limit set by the Board.

We currently have a few vacancies for all parts, but particularly Tenors and Basses. Call Peter Amos (860) 304-1399 for further details, or to arrange to attend an audition at anytime.

Prospective members are welcome to come and sing with us at any rehearsal, to get to know Con Brio both musically and socially.  You will quickly make good friends and good music in this small, motivated and sociable chorus! Come along for several weeks, at no cost, and without obligation. If the 'fit' feels good, then all that is required is a straightforward audition, in private.

Con Brio performs two main concerts each year, in December and April or May and rehearses from 7 pm to 9:30 pm each Tuesday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 56 Great Hammock Road, Old Saybrook, CT.

Con Brio's goal is to retain a stable core group of singers, to provide a solid foundation and allow the group to grow musically, as well as develop standard repertoire of major works. Annual dues are $100 plus the cost of music. Members are expected to recognize their individual responsibility in promoting the sale of tickets and general fund-raising. Con Brio requires members to meet prescribed attendance requirements.
